Connell Persico, PhD, served in multiple administrative and mentoring roles at the California School of Professional Psychology and Alliant International University. He has also served for the last eight years as a member of the Alliant Educational Foundation Board of Directors.

Megan Harris, PsyD

Dr. Meghan Harris is a psychologist in private practice in San Anselmo, California, where she specializes in treating grief and loss in teens and kids. She is a former President of the Marin County Psychological Association, and has dabbled in all sorts of boards, including the California Psychological Association board, Division I Board, and currently serves on the California Psychological Association Foundation Board. She gardens with mediocrity, birds with enthusiasm, and parents on a wing and a prayer.

Kristin Moore, PsyD

Kristin Moore, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience specializing in child and adolescent psychology. She has provided comprehensive mental health care and psychodiagnostic assessments to children, adolescents, and their families across diverse settings, including schools, community mental health centers, and hospital-based programs.

Stephanie Byers-Bell
Board Member
Stephanie Byers-Bell is a seasoned administrative professional in higher education, primarily in the area of graduate-level accredited psychology programs. She is committed to building community while supporting complex, multi-layered administrative structures. Her work ensures that students, faculty, staff, and alumni thrive and succeed. With a dedication to supporting a diverse population that prioritizes underserved and marginalized students, she also works to ensure that staff and faculty colleagues have access to guidance and resources while navigating challenges during their academic journey. A skilled CAO, Stephanie has a history of being responsible for numerous student affairs/services departments, including admissions, financial aid, accessibility, as well as marketing.

Jennifer Emmett, MPH, MA
Board Member
Jen Emmett (she/her) is a 5th-year PsyD student at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. She is currently completing her predoctoral internship in Counseling & Psychological Services at University of California, Santa Cruz. As a first-generation college and graduate student, Jen is passionate about promoting access to higher education and supporting college students' mental health. Before joining the CPA Foundation, she served on the California Psychological Association of Graduate Students (CPAGS) Board of Directors. She has also held positions within the Alameda County Psychological Association and CPA Division for Diversity and Social Justice as a student representative. She enjoys yoga, rollercoasters, comedy, and spending time with her cat.

Amanda Ho
Board Member
Amanda is a third-year Clinical Psychology PsyD student at Alliant International University, CSPP, Sacramento. Her experiences include various roles in mentorship, crisis counseling, teaching, research, and community engagement. As an advocate for individuals with lived experience in mental health, Amanda’s leadership involvements have included the California Psychological Association, Sacramento Valley Psychological Association, and Alliant Educational Foundation. Professionally, her interests lie in therapy, assessment, consulting in the technology sector, integrative health, and decreasing the stigma surrounding suicide.

Michelle Fernando
Office Manager
Michelle brings 20+ years of experience supporting healthcare and academic institutions, with expertise in advising senior executives, coordinating enterprise-wide initiatives, and building systems that promote effective communication and decision-making. A graduate of Golden Gate University with a master's degree in International Affairs, Michelle has a strong commitment to supporting not-for-profit organizations. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys baking, journaling, and traveling.
Scott Parker, MBA, CAE
Chief Executive Officer, California Psychological Association
Scott Parker has been the Chief Executive Officer of CPA since 2023 following a 20+ year career serving associations and their members across various industries. Previous titles Scott has held include Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Advocacy, Marketing and Events. Scott has an MBA from DePaul University and a BS in Journalism from the University of Illinois.
